Boyd Cohen obtained his PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado in 2001. Since then he has balanced academic and entrepreneurial pursuits in the Americas and Europe. He has published three books on sustainable entrepreneurship and urban innovation and written dozens of peer reviewed articles. He moved to Barcelona in 2015 where he became Dean of Research at EADA Business School.
After Boyd left academia, he co-founded Iomob, a next generation enterprise Mobility as a Service solution offered to major public and private transportation and travel industry organizations. Iomob has won several mobility industry awards and participated in prestigious accelerators including Techstars and Wayra. The company has deployed its technology to integrate major public and private mobility services in Spain, with its first client being Renfe, the Spanish rail operator.
