Alisha Bhagat
Senior Futurist at Forum for the Future
Alisha Bhagat is a futurist and senior strategist whose work focuses on the creative use of futures tools to impact long term positive change, particularly around social justice and equality. She is based at Forum for the Future, where she utilizes foresight methods such as systems mapping, scenario planning, and speculative futures to engage with stakeholders on strategic visioning and defining the concrete actions needed to achieve them. She has engaged in futures projects in many sectors including the food system, consumer goods, global commodities, and urban planning.
Alisha is a visiting fellow at the East-West Center in Honolulu, and guest lectures at academic institutions. Prior to joining Forum for the Future, Alisha utilized strategic foresight on behalf of the US government intelligence and security agencies. She holds an MS from Georgetown University and a BS from Carnegie Mellon University. She was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2005. When not thinking about the future, Alisha is an avid gamer and science fiction enthusiast. She also serves as board president of Bitch Media, a feminist media organization.
