Caroline Figuères is a French sanitary engineer by education and an independent consultant in the field of water management, Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D), and capacity building. She has thirty-five years of international work experience in the development field, with a primary focus on Africa. She was selected to join the Next Generation Water Leaders Group. Caroline was previously the Director General of the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) until 2015. She joined the Millennium project in 2015. She is also a novel writer and has published several fiction and non-fiction books, including two award winning novels .
