Joe Tankersley is a futurist, author, and former Walt Disney Imagineer. As part of Walt Disney Imagineering’s elite Blue-Sky Studio, Joe helped establish the group’s first Strategic Foresight Program. His team explored possible futures for The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Parks and Resorts, The Disney Company’s Corporate Citizenship Group, and Walt Disney World Operations. Joe also taught hundreds of Disney cast members how to integrate foresight into their everyday work. In 2014, Joe embarked on his latest adventure, Unique Visions. His clients range from fortune 50 multinationals in the fields of health care, consumer goods, and entertainment to national nonprofits and community organizations. As a consultant, speaker, and writer, he shows his clients how to Imagineer their best futures. Joe believes that the stories we tell ourselves about the future are critical tools for building better tomorrows. He is passionate about helping organizations create futures that are sustainable, abundant, and equitable. Joe served on the board of the Association of Professional Futurists for six years and currently serves on the board of the environmental nonprofit The Whale Centre.
