Reza Jafari
CEO of e-Development International
Reza Jafari is the chairman, CEO, and founder of e-Development International. Based in Washington, DC, area, e-Development International is an executive advisory group that promotes, facilitates, and participates in information and communications technology (ICT) initiatives for transformational leadership, social entrepreneurship, eco-systems development, Big Data, e-Healthcare, e-Education, smart cities, and e-Government worldwide. Reza serves as a Trustee Board member of Chesapeake College, is the co-chairman of the Connected City advisory board of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, a board member of the India, China and America Institute, and the Chairman of the Talbot County Economic Development Commission. He is the co-managing editor of the “Connected City Blueprint”, published in December 2016 (v.1.0) and November 2017 (v.2.0).
Reza has served as the chairman of the board of ITU TELECOM; a commissioner of the UN Broadband Commission for Digital Development ; a board member of GSMA Ltd; group president of the EDS/HP Global Communications, Media, and Entertainment Industry Group and managing director of the Communications and Media Industry Group for Europe Middle East and Africa. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards for innovation from the International TeleConferencing Association and the Council for the Advancement of Science and Technology in Education. Reza received his MBA, Ed. S., and ABD (PhD) in Instructional Systems Technology and Innovation from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA.
