Report Launch – COVID-19 Impacts on Innovation and Digital Transformation in Air Transport

As lead author, I will share the key findings of the latest Fast Future / Future Travel Experience Air Transport 2035 report and then discuss them with a panel of industry experts. The panel will also share their current priorities and plans for the future around innovation and digital transformation.

This report highlights the results of an industry survey, expert interviews, desk research and analysis to explore how the pandemic is shaping approaches to innovation and digital transformation across the sector. The detailed results cover the response to COVID-19 in terms of changes to the terminal environment, technology use in the airport environment, impact on cabin configuration and in-flight experience, longer term airport and airline innovation priorities and developments, impact on digital transformation and collaboration strategies, and implications for innovation and digital transformation budgets and longer term strategies.
